I stir in bed slowly opening my eyes. I scoot back quickly when I realize I’m next to Aiden and his arm is draped over me. He opens his eyes in a daze and looks at me with furrowed eyebrows.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“It’s okay.” He half sits on the bed in confusion. “What time is it?” He looks at the clock on his bedside table. It’s only 7 AM.

“Sorry. I just woke up disoriented,” I apologize again.

“Don’t be. I’m usually up early. Did you sleep okay?” He rubs his face. He looks gorgeous in the morning. His blonde hair is all tousled and is such a different look from his usual well-groomed self. His eyes are still half opened, not fully awake yet, and his face is relaxed.

“Yeah, thanks.” I feel like this should be awkward, but it’s not. I panicked when I realized I was in bed with his arm around me because we have set limits, but I’d be lying if it weren’t comforting. I’m not sure how much longer I could keep this up. I’ve only been with him a few times, and I’m drawn like a stupid fly to a light trap. Problem is flies die when they get close to the trap, and I have a feeling I’ll be going through some similar emotions once this is done.

Learning more about him last night shed a different light on who the real Aiden is. There’s more to him. Although he projects himself as an asshole, man whore, he’s actually a decent person beneath it. I’m starting to realize he’s not half bad and is caring to those around him. That’s a dangerous realization. He just likes to fuck. Right now I’m his pleasure of choice, but what will happen when he gets bored? This is why I wanted to keep him limited to just one night.

I appreciated his honesty yesterday although it threw me off. He wants more of me? How much more can I give without falling into the same bullshit relationship I’ve been in before? Haven’t you learned already?

“I need to go to the bathroom,” I announce.

“It’s right over there. If you want to take a shower, there are towels in the linen closet.” Aiden smiles and stands up from the bed throwing on a pair of sweat pants. Lucky sweat pants. “I’m going to make coffee.”

“Okay.” I make my way towards the bathroom. A shower sounds nice actually. I have no other clothes than what I was wearing yesterday. I’ll have to put that back on. I guess I’m going commando this morning. I grab a towel from the linen closet in the bathroom and walk into the shower. This bathroom is impressive. Actually, his entire apartment is. It’s all upscale and modern.

I lean my head back as the waterfall showerhead massages my body. This is crazy. I’m taking a shower in Aiden’s apartment. I slept here. I’m sure he doesn’t usually have women sleep over. That thought secretly excites me.
